Minister Nomvula Mokonyane visits drought-stricken communities in KwaZulu-Natal, 15 Jul

Drought-stricken KZN to hold an awareness blitz and prayer session

Minister of Water and Sanitation Nomvula Mokonyane, accompanied by the MEC for CoGTA in KZN, Ms Nomusa Dube-Ncube, MEC for Public Works and Human Settlements Ravi Pillay, together with Mayors will tomorrow, 15 July 2015 visit communities affected by the current drought and who have been put on the water rationing programme. The purpose of the visit is to raise awareness on the drought as well as issues related to water conservation and water demand management.

The programme on the day will roll out as follows:

09h30 - 10h00: engagement with communities by water rationing Tongaat

11h00 – 12h00: prayer session for rain at Hazelmere Dam
