Minister Nomvula Mokonyane opens international water stewardship workshop, 27 and 28 Oct

The Minister of Water and Sanitation, Nomvula Mokonyane, will next week open a two-day workshop on International Water Stewardship in Johannesburg that will be attended by government officials, business and civil society.

They will share knowledge and learn from various water stewardship case studies on-going in the Southern African region context. Also, they will look at how can stewardship leverage funding for water security and also transferring risk to action. Policy innovation for water stewardship will be debated at length. Among other issues to be discussed include:

  • What have others (private sector and individuals) done?
  • What tools are there to support me?
  • What are the benefits and challenges?
  • How do I become practically active in water stewardship?
