Minister Nomvula Mokonyane addresses Bantu Church of Christ National Youth Festival in Soweto, 6 July 2018

The Minister of Communications, Ms. Nomvula Mokonyane will tomorrow, 6 July 2018, deliver a keynote address at the Bantu Church of Christ National Youth Festival in Soweto, Gauteng.

The national youth festival was established in 1992 with an aim to involve the youth in church activities and to create a layer of the next generation who would benefit from institutional history.

Minister Mokonyane will be speaking on child protection in the era of social media and the role of youth in nation building and social cohesion. The youth festival will also be attended by entities of the department namely, Independent Communications Authority (ICASA), the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA) and Film and Publications Board (FPB).
