Mandela Day
To commemorate Mandela Day, Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene will hand over two classrooms to Matlaisane High School in Hammanskraal on Monday 20 July 2015.
The National Treasury Charity Golf Day Fund adopted Matlaisane High School in Hammanskraal in 2013. With 2013 proceeds of the charity fund, the Treasury built a steel structure in the quad area that is used as an assembly point. The two classrooms the Minister will hand over were constructed with the 2014 proceeds.
The National Treasury Charity Golf Day Fund is aimed at raising funds for community projects that uplift the lives of young South Africans.
