Mineral Resources Minister Advocate Ngoako Ramatlhodi has called an urgent meeting of leaders in the mining industry (organised business and organised labour) to address the issue of job losses.
This follows recent announcements by several mining companies of their intention to retrench workers.
The meeting will be preceded by a media briefing. Members of the media are invited to attend the briefing as follows:
