Minister Mthethwa’s visit to the Sarah Baartman Centre of Remembrance in Hankey
The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Mr Nathi Mthethwa invites members of the media to the site visit at the Sarah Baartman Centre of Remembrance and Community Engagement. The Department of Sport, Arts and Culture as part of its mandate of preserving and transforming the Heritage landscape has embarked on building the Sarah Baartman Centre of Remembrance to acknowledge the tribulations and trials of Sarah Baartman and the role that the Khoisan people played in the struggle against colonialism and racism.
The site visit at the Centre and Community engagement gives members of the community an opportunity to hear the recent developments around the construction of the site.
