Minister Mthethwa launches 2022 Freedom Month programme at GCIS

The Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Mr. Nathi Mthethwa invite members of the media to the launch of the Freedom Month Celebration taking place on Friday, 08 April 2022. The launch will take place at the Government Communication, and Information System (GCIS), Ronnie Mamoepa media briefing room, Pretoria in the form of a media briefing.

The 2022 Freedom Month will be celebrated under the theme: “Consolidating Our Democratic Gains”, as 2022 marks 28 years since the dawn of democracy in 1994, and fast approaching the 3 decades milestone of the country’s constitutional democracy.   

During the launch, Minister Mthethwa will unpack a month-long programme of Freedom Month building up to the 27th of April national commemorative day.
