The Minister of Arts and Culture, Mr Nathi Mthethwa will host a dialogue with women in the business of the arts as part of the Women’s Day celebrations build-up activities at Mokwallo Township in Vredefort, Free State on Saturday, 8 August 2015.
The aim of the event is to afford women in the arts an opportunity to discuss challenges and prospects available in the sector to empower them as entrepreneurs who can assert their position in the economy. The department will also give an update on the progress made regarding the implementation of Mzansi Golden Economy Strategy (MGE) whose focus is on the economic beneficiation of the creative sector.
National Women’s Day Celebrations will take place on Sunday, 9 August 2015 at Harry Gwala Multipurpose Centre in Sasolburg, Free State under the theme “Women United in Moving South Africa Forward”. Members of the media are invited.
