The Minister of Arts and Culture, Mr Nathi Mthethwa will host Social Cohesion Summit to give a special focus on youth empowerment as future leaders. The Summit will be held on Friday, 29 May 2015 at uMhlathuze Multi-Purpose Sports Ground in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
The Social Cohesion Summit will also commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Freedom Charter and 21Years of Democracy as part of nation-wide Africa Month Celebrations.
Speakers will include Nation Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbethe, former Robben Island prisoner and anti-Apartheid activist Ahmed Kathrada, Department of Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini and other prominent South Africans.
Members of the media are invited to attend the events.
