Minister Nathi Mthethwa holds Imbizo at Ga-Mafefe Village in Limpopo, 25 Jun

The Minister of Arts and Culture Mr Nathi Mthethwa will hold an Imbizo with practitioners in the arts, culture and heritage sector at Ga-Mafefe village in Limpopo. Minister Mthethwa will also handover musical instruments to some of the local artists as part of government’s commitment to develop arts, culture and heritage sector in all regions of the country.

The Imbizo will mobilise all the role players within arts, culture and heritage sector not only to actively participate in this programme, but also to forge partnerships with government to build a better life for all.

The day will mark a period of intensified activity where the Minister will interact with the ordinary members of the public. This will assist to identify where there are still shortcomings in order to ensure there is continuous effort to improve service delivery.

Whilst Imbizo is an effective forum for enhancing dialogue, promoting public participation and interaction between government and people, it also provides an opportunity for government to communicate its programme of action and the progress being made to improve the lives of the people.
