The Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga will on Wednesday, 17 July receive the State-of-the Art Mandela Park Primary School in Slova Park, Mthata.
The school, which was built through the generous contribution of ArcelorMittal South Africa at a cost of R45 Million, boasts top of the range equipment and facilities and will be handed over to the Minister of Basic Education and the community of Mthatha.
The new school has been built using ArcelorMittal’s light steel weight building technology and comprises a laboratory, a media centre with a computer room, eight vegetable tunnels a garden, a fully equipped nutrition centre, two sports grounds, an administrative building with meeting rooms, offices for the principal and a vice principal, staff room and a reception area.
