Mineral Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane will on Thursday, 22nd October 2015, handover houses built for mineworkers in Lephalale, Limpopo. The houses are part of Exxaro’s Grootegeluk coal mine’s Social and Labour Plan (SLP) commitment.
An SLP is a prerequisite for the granting of a mining or production right under the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA).
The Minister will also lead a sod-turning ceremony for the construction of more houses by Exxaro Coal.
Members of the media are thus invited to attend the handover and sod turning ceremony for new projects. Transport will be provided to media wishing to join the Minister from the Exxaro Mogol Club.
