The Minister of Mineral Resources, Ms Susan Shabangu, will hand over a school in Lusikisiki in the OR Tambo District Municipality, as part of the Social Labour Plan (SLP) being implemented by AngloGold Ashanti.
The OR Tambo District Municipality is a presidential package project as a labour-sending area. As part of the package, the President has identified labour-sending areas as key priorities for socio-economic development and development of human settlements. Anglo Gold Ashanti’s employees mostly come from Lusikisiki.
