Labour Minister Mildred Oliphant hosts women Imbizo in eThekwini Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal
The Minister of Labour, Mildred Oliphant and eThekwini Municipality Mayor Cllr Zandile Gumede will be hosting an Imbizo for Women and various stakeholders in Durban.
The Imbizo will provide a platform to engage the Mayor and the Minister on issues of mutual interest and address service delivery challenges. It will also provide government services on the day, as various Departments will exhibit their services.
The key message from the Minister is to express the government’s readiness to assist with meeting the National Development Plan’s 2030 goals.
The “Women Imbizo” will focus on the discussion of women unemployment, information sharing on Department of Labour services, the lack of economic opportunities experienced by women and inadequate economic participation.
