The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Advocate Michael Masutha (MP), will deliver a keynote address during the official launch of a Sexual Offences Court and Thuthuzela Care Centre in Atlantis, Western Cape on Thursday, 03 December 2015.
The launch forms part of the department’s efforts to promote a justice system that is victim-friendly, efficient and sensitive to the needs of victims of sexual offences and takes place as part of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children.
Thuthuzela Care Centres and Sexual Offences Courts provide specialised victim-support services that are intended to reduce secondary trauma of victims and turnaround times in the finalisation of sexual offences matters.
