The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Adv. Michael Masutha, MP, will deliver a keynote address at the reburial of Thamsanqa Poto on Saturday 6 June 2015 at St Stevens’ Hall, New Brighten (Port Elizabeth).
Mr. Poto was buried as unidentified pauper at Tshikota Cemetery in Louis Trichard. His remains were recovered by the Missing Persons Task Team (MPTT) and identified through the DNA.
As part of implementing the recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development officially handed over the exhumed remains of Thamsanqa Poto to his family on Friday, 29 May 2015 in Port Elizabeth.
