The learners of Ramahlale Primary School and Matimba-Sinqcobile Community Centre as well as residents and the business community of Mamelodi will join Minister of Small Business Development, Ms Lindiwe Zulu, during the Good Green Deeds campaign on Friday the 8th of March 2019.
The Department of Small Business Development is responding to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call for the entire country to be engaged in a clean-up campaign of a massive nature this Friday.
Minister Zulu will lead the visit to Ramahlale Primary School in Mamelodi to conduct a waste management programme and plant trees to promote green living open spaces for learners.
Later in the day, the Minister will also pay a special visit to the DSBD adopted home, Matimba-Sinqcobile Community Centre also in Mamelodi to donate four wheeled bins as part of encouraging an environmentally friendly culture and instilling best practices of waste management.

This programme aims to promote the circular waste economy and also seeks to change behaviour towards littering and illegal dumping, to shift the paradigm and influence waste management so that it includes the 4rs (reduce, re-use, recycle and recover), and to raise waste awareness.
