The Portfolio Committee on Small Business Development will on Monday conduct an oversight of small businesses in Soweto and Alexandra townships.
The Chairperson of the Committee, Ms Ruth Bhengu, will lead the delegation that will visit special projects, tuck shops, township business initiatives, and see whether they are achieving the objectives of contributing to jobs creation as set out in the National Development Plan (NDP).
The Committee will also interact with the association of spaza shop owners in Soweto, provincial government and the City of Johannesburg.
Minister Lindiwe Zulu will form part of the delegation.
