Minister Sisulu and Executive Mayor Danny Jordaan to sign an agreement on the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality integrated human settlements programme
The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu, and the Executive Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, Danny Jordaan will on Tuesday, 23 June 2015, sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality integrated human settlements programme.
The signing of the MOA will coincide with a two day (22-23 June 2015) Nelson Mandela Bay Developers Consultative Workshop organised by the three parties, National Human Settlements, Provincial Human Settlements and Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan. Prior to the signing Minister Sisulu and Executive Mayor Mr Jordaan will address local developers and contractors who will be attending a workshop.
The Cabinet recently approved the National intervention led by National Department of Human Settlements to assist NMBM to fast track human settlements delivery. Other Departments which form part of this intervention include National Treasury, Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs and Water and Sanitation.
