Minister Sisulu to receive report of the Ministerial Enquiry on Lwandle evictions

The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu, MP, will tomorrow, 8 October 2014 receive a report of the Ministerial Enquiry on Lwandle evictions.

This comes after the Minister had been informed by the Chairperson of the Ministerial Enquiry, Advocate Denzil Potgieter SC that the enquiry has completed its task.

Minister Sisulu established an enquiry into Lwandle evictions following the evictions of Lwandle residence who were illegally occupying the land of the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL). At the time of the establishment of the enquiry the Minister indicated that her main concern is that no citizens must ever be evicted without temporary accommodation.

Minister Sisulu will receive the Ministerial Enquiry report as follows:
