The Minister of Human Settlements, Lindiwe Sisulu, MP, Eastern Cape MEC of Human Settlements, Helen August-Sauls and the Executive Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality (NMBM), Danny Jordaan will on Monday, 21 September 2015 announce Government Support Package for contractors and developers of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.
The Government Support Package comes as a result of a two-day workshop that took place in June 2015 between developers and contractors and three spheres of government, National Department of Human Settlements, Provincial Department of Human Settlements and Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality. The main purpose of the package is to accelerate housing delivery in the Nelson Mandela Bay
Early this year Cabinet approved National intervention led by National Department of Human Settlements to assist NMBM to fast track human settlements delivery.
