Minister Joe Phaahla leads Cheka Impilo Campaign in Mpumalanga, 9 Jan

Minister of Health, Dr Joe Phaahla leads Cheka Impilo – an accelerated national wellness campaign focussing on encouraging people to know their health status through regular screening and testing for HIV, TB, Sexual Transmitted Infections and Non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.

Minister Phaahla is accompanied by the Mpumalanga MEC for Health, Ms Sasekani Manzini, local government leaders, traditional leaders and senior health officials.
The campaign will culminate with an official opening of state-of-the-art Community Health Centre, in Balfour under Dipaliseng Local Municipality as part of government efforts to accelerate health service delivery in preparation for the implementation of the National Health Insurance.
