Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Jeff Radebe will on Friday 14 August 2015 conduct a visit to Eersterust Secondary and Prosperitas High schools in Eersterust, Pretoria.
The purpose of the visit is to address the fight against drugs and substance abuse in schools.

The Community of Eersterust took to the streets on Saturday 21 February 2015 to voice their indignation about the widespread of drug abuse and drug lords who operate in the community of Eersterust. The community members further petitioned President Jacob Zuma to put together measures that will restore safety and security in Eersterust.
