Minister Jeff Radebe launches Urban Innovation Colloquium, 1 to 2 Oct

Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, the Honourable Jeff Radebe, will launch the Urban Innovation Colloquium.

The Urban Innovation Colloquium is the first knowledge sharing event undertaken as part of the ‘Partnership for Urban Innovation’– a partnership between the National Planning Commission (NPC) and the Gauteng Provincial Government (GPG) to collaborate on work around urban innovation.

The colloquium will take place over 2 days. The first day will focus on transformation and mainstreaming through innovation and will draw on international exchanges and local expertise. The second day will focus on specific examples of urban innovation.

International speakers include Prof Yoyo Riva (Argentina), Ms Aline Cannataro (Brazil) and Ms Lisa Zorn (Germany). Local experts such as Prof Philip Harrison (Wits) and Dr Geci Karuri-Sebina (SACN) will also present.
