Minister Mantashe meets with Minister Dmitry Kobylkin of Russia
The Minister of Mineral Resources, Mr Gwede Mantashe will tomorrow meet with his Russian counterpart, Minister Dmitry Kobylkin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation. The meeting forms part of the third South Africa-Russia Platinum Group Metals (PGM) Conference to be held in Mintek, Johannesburg.
The Conference provides us with an opportunity to promote the PGMs sector in the country ensuring that there is sustainable growth and create job opportunities. The outcomes of the Conference discussions will contribute to the long-term sustainability of both upstream and downstream development in the PGMs value chain founded upon dedicated research and development to optimise exploitation of efficiencies, technology for further diversification of metal applications and promotion of investment in both countries.
