Minister Mantashe to hand over Samancor Social and Labour Plan Projects in Madibeng Local Municipality, North West
The Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, Mr Gwede Mantashe, will on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 hand over Samancor’s Social and Labour Plan (SLP) projects in Madibeng Local Municipality, Brits, North West.
The projects include the Maboloka Borehole Water Provision Project, the upgraded Brits Raw Water Pump Station, the refurbished Bapong Water Pump Station, a newly constructed water reservoir, and the Bapong Access Road Upgrade.
These projects form part of Samancor’s Social and Labour Plan commitments, aimed at improving the quality of life in mining communities and ensuring meaningful socio-economic development in line with the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA).

NB: Transport will be provided for the media to join Minister Mantashe and the entourage while visiting all SLP projects (from main venue to the projects and back to the main venue for the formal programme)
