Phuthaditjhaba pupils to benefit from Transport Ministry’s Multi-Function Programme

Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula will visit Phuthaditjhaba in the Free State Province on Saturday, 26 October 2019, to announce the names of school pupils who have been chosen to participate in the School Learner Driver Licence Programme.

Minister Mbalula will also donate bicycles to learners from different schools in the area. The bicycles are part of the Shova Kalula Bicycle Programme, an initiative by the Department of Transport to help provide mobility to learners walking more than three kilometers - but less than five kilometers - to school.

The event will also include transport career awareness for Phuthaditjhaba youths. The purpose of the career exhibition is to expose young people to job opportunities available in the transport sector.
