Minister Mbalula to host SA under 19 Cricket World Champions

The Minister of Sport and Recreation South Africa, Mr Fikile Mbalula will host the entire SA Under 19 World Champions, who have made history by winning the Under 19 Cricket World Cup recently held in the United Arab Emirates.

The celebrations of this nature serve as a way and gesture by the Minister to mobilise the whole country to support, motivate and celebrate the young talented team, popularly known as the Baby Proteas.

This victory speaks directly to the objectives of National Sport and Recreation Plan in addressing the development and transformation agenda in sport and of recognising excellence in Sport.

The celebrations will take place as follows:
Date: Tuesday, 18 March 2014
Time: 11h00 to 17h30

Open bus parade:

The players will be accompanied by some of the Government leaders, Proteas National Team players, supporters and media. The trophy will also be showcased during the parade.
