Minister of Environmental Affairs to deliver key note address at Chemicals Management and Land Remediation Summit
The Minister of Environmental Affairs, Mrs Edna Molewa will deliver the key note address at the Chemicals Management and Land Remediation Summit at the CSIR International Conference Centre, in Pretoria on 6 October 2015.
The 2015 Chemicals Management and Land Remediation Summit aims to facilitate a national dialogue with regards to the management of chemicals and remediation of contaminated land to ensure sustainable management of environmental resources. It aims to further assist industries in their responsibilities regarding chemicals management and contamination of land by sharing information, forming partnerships, drafting and enforcing relevant legislation to manage industry.
The Summit will bring together the combined knowledge of academics, government professionals, consultants, industries and technology developers/experts, and provides a thematic network on interdisciplinary research, integrating technological, societal and economical aspects for the management of chemicals and remediation of contaminated land in South Africa.
The theme of the 2015 Chemicals Management and Land Remediation Summit is ‘Science in Action: Towards the Environmentally Sound Management of Chemicals and Land Remediation”
