The Minister of Transport, Hon. Dipuo Peters, will officially launch the 2015 Easter Road Safety Campaign to heighten the implementation of the 365 Days Road Safety Programme on Friday, 27 March in Dwarsloop, Mpumalanga.
The Minister will be joined by the Deputy Minister of Transport Hon. Sindisiwe Chikunga, provincial MECs for Public Works, Roads and Transport and Community Safety and Liaison, CEOs of Transport State Owned Entities, key transport stakeholders and members of the community.
The Minister will call upon all road users, private motorists, public transport operators (short and long distance), freight transport operators, passengers and pedestrians to take personal responsibility for their safety on the roads as they will be traveling to various destinations during the Easter holidays and at all times.
