The Minister of Transport, Honourable Dipuo Peters (MP), will deliver a keynote address at the driver training and award ceremony of eighty (80) Algoa Bus drivers and various private companies in Port Elizabeth in the Neslon Mandela Bay on Tuesday, 21 October 2014.
The Minister will be joined by the Honourable MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison in the Eastern Cape Weziwe Tikana, the Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Ben Fihla, Algoa Bus company CEO Sicelo Duze and other key stakeholders in the transport industry.
The ceremony will award drivers of the Algoa Bus service and public transport and freight services companies for having participated in the Driver Education Programme which has been aimed at reducing road accidents and fatalities on the road network caused by their drivers.
