The Minister of Public Works & Infrastructure, Dean Macpherson, will on Friday, 10 April 2026, conduct an oversight inspection of the illegally occupied Carletonville Police Station and its associated buildings in the Merafong City Local Municipality, Gauteng, as part of the Department’s Operation Bring Back.
At the outset, the Minister will receive a briefing on the circumstances that led to the occupation of the buildings, after which he will conduct an oversight inspection and outline the pathway forward to ensure the site is restored for public use.
