Today, Thursday, 20 June 2013, Dan Plato, Western Cape Minister of Community Safety, will visit the informal traders around the Strand Street and station area to provide them with valuable safety information.
The information will provide the vendors with safety contact details so that they can report any safety concerns to the Department of Community Safety.
Details on the Report a Cop, Reward a Cop programme will be included in the information. This programme allows members of the public to report poor policing or compliment police for good service through the department’s 24/7 hotline – 021 483 4332.
