Minister Chabane undertakes visit to Qwaqwa

Minister in The Presidency for Performance Monitoring and Evaluation, Collins Chabane will lead a government delegation on a follow up visit to Diyatalawa and Makgolokoeng in Qwaqwa in the Free State province. The visit follows a monitoring and evaluation visit by President Jacob Zuma to assess the efficacy of rural development programmes in the area in 2011.

The purpose of the visit is to monitor and assess progress in the implementation of the rural development interventions which were introduced in Diyatalawa and Makgolokoeng following the Presidential visit. Minister Chabane will be accompanied by Minister for Rural Development and Land Reform, Gugile Nkwinti, Premier of the Free State province, Ace Magashule and members of the Free State Executive Council and Mayor of Maluti a Phufong, Sarah Moleleki.

The Minister and his delegation will be briefed on progress made in the implementation of identified projects by the Implementation Task Team in Diyatalawa.

The media is advised that there will be a photo opportunity of the meeting before the delegation proceeds to visit projects in Diyatalawa and Makgolokoeng. The media statement will be made during the project visits.
