This afternoon, Minister of Transport and Public Works, Robin Carlisle, will be officially opening the newly constructed Sandown Road.
Phase 1 of this road link will see the southern carriageway of Sandown Road opening up the east to the west. The road link will permit motorists to travel from the N7 /M12 motorway in the east and along Sandown Road to link up with the West Coast Road and the beach areas of Table View and Blaauwberg.
The construction of the road was commissioned by Garden Cities, Milnerton Estates, and the Aska Property Group who will be hosting the event.
There will be a MyCiti bus tour of the newly constructed road before it is officially opened.

Travel to Parklands from Cape Town along Otto du Plessis, through Milnerton, past Blaauwberg Road intersection on the R27 and then turn right into Link Road and get onto Parklands Main Road. Once on Parklands Main Road, travel in an easterly direction (towards Durbanville) until you reach the intersection.
