Minister Carlisle and Metrorail Regional Manager Mthuthuzeli Swartz to commemorate International Level Crossing Awareness Day at Buttskop

Tomorrow morning, Minister of Transport and Public Works Robin Carlisle, and Metrorail Regional Manager Mthuthuzeli Swartz, will be commemorating International Level Crossing Awareness Day at Buttskop level crossing, the sight of the 2010 mini-bus taxi crash that saw 10 children killed.

City of Cape Town Traffic Services will be conducting an enforcement operation at the crossing where Minister Carlisle and Mr Swartz will be interacting with motorists as well as announcing some key enforcement interventions aimed at improving safety at dangerous level crossings in the City and in the Province.

All media are invited and welcome to attend. There will be opportunity for interviews and photographs.
