Minister Blade Nzimande visits Vryheid as part of District Development Model, 22 Apr

The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Dr Blade Nzimande, will be visiting Vryheid in the Zululand District, as part of his Ministerial oversight, following Cabinet's deployment of Ministers and Deputy Ministers as District
Champions of various municipalities.

Minister Nzimande will be joined by the KZN Human Settlement and Public Works MEC, Mr Jomo Sibiya, the Zululand District Mayor, Cllr Thulasizwe Buthelezi and the Abaqulusi Local Municipality Acting Mayor, Cllr Mncedisi Maphisa.

The Minister will kick-start his visit at the Vryheid District Hospital vaccination centre, where he will get a briefing by Vryheid District Hospital CEO on the plans for rollout of the covid-19 vaccines.

Minister Nzimande will have a walk-about at the Mthashana TVET College Engineering Campus and hold a Dialogue on Gender Based Violence and Femicide at the college.
