Minister of Police Bheki Cele will tomorrow Friday, 17 August 2018 deliver a key note address at an Academic dialogue on Femicide in South Africa. The College of Human Sciences (CHS) in collaboration with UNISA HIV and Social Diversity Curriculum Integration Project will be hosting a panel discussion on Gender Based Violence and Femicide.
Crimes against women and children has always been a priority for the South African Police Service and Police Minister Bheki Cele has declared 2018 as the year to focus on women and children and the vulnerable groups. Minister Cele went on to dedicate this year’s Budget Vote Speech in May 2018 to honour all women and children who have been the victims of gender based violence under the Theme “Safety of women, children and vulnerable groups is the brighter future of South Africa”.
