Minister Bheki Cele addresses police officers deployed to safeguard BRICS Summit, 21 Aug

Following numerous security engagements and briefings by security role players responsible for safeguarding the upcoming BRICS Summit, Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele and the National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS) General Fannie Masemola, will on Monday, 21 August 2023 address all the forces deployed for the 15th BRICS Summit.

The Summit which will be hosted in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 22 August 2023, is expected to be attended by over 40 Heads of State, scores of government representatives as well as local and international dignitaries and summit delegates. The security forces parade will comprise of officers from across various disciplines of the South African Police Service (SAPS) and supporting security agencies deployed to safeguard the event.
