Members of the media are invited to join the Transport Minister, Ms. Barbara Creecy and Deputy Minister, Mr. Mkhuleko Hlengwa for a scheduled law enforcement and road safety programme on Friday, 13 June 2025, on the N12 route along Potchefstroom in North West.
This effort forms part of the department’s commitment towards road safety advocacy and education as well as to encourage young people to act responsibly – not drink and drive and adhere to road safety rules ahead of Youth Day long weekend.
The Integrated law enforcement operation will consist of the North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport, National Traffic Police, Provincial Traffic as well as and South African Police Service (SAPS) and will be joined by other road entities who will conduct road safety education and awareness.
