Minister Motshekga to receive ICT donation from the Belgian Embassy at the Spa Park Primary School in Bela Bela

The Minister of Basic Education Mrs Angie Motshekga, MP will tomorrow, Friday 06 November 2020 receive a donation of 30 laptops from the Ambassador of Belgium Mr Didier Vanderhasselt at the Spa Park Primary School in Bela Bela. Ambassador Vanderhasselt will be joined by the Ambassador of the European Union Mrs Riina Kionka.

The Department of Basic Education and the European Union have an Education for Employment Programme together with the Department of Higher Education and the Department of Employment and Labour. The purpose of the programme is to support government efforts in improving the quality of basic education, vocational training and job placement services, from early childhood, through teen-years until the acquisition of skills needed for the world-of-work.

The Programme will support DBE towards “Access to quality Early Childhood Development and throughput through grades are improved”.
