The Department of Basic Education (DBE) will receive a mobile kitchen donated to a Soweto school by Massmart on Thursday, 30 October 2014. This will be one of the 101st kitchens donated by the retailer across the country.
Mobile kitchens are at the heart of the DBE’s National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP), which sees more than 8 million learners receive a healthy meal at school daily.
Minister Angie Motshekga and Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi will be present to witness the handover.
