Basic Education Minister leads 2020 World Teachers Day celebrations in Mamelodi
Basic Education Minister Mrs Angie will tomorrow, Monday 05 October 2020 celebrate and honour the nation’s teachers on World Teachers Day at the Mamelodi Teachers Centre in Pretoria.
Every year on the 5th of October the world stops to celebrate its teachers, its everyday heros and its selfless citizens, a day that has been set aside to show appreciation to educators globally as well as to raise awareness and understanding on the work and value of teachers. This year the Department will lead celebrates under the theme “Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future”, As the nation acknowledges and celebrates teachers that have put themselves on the frontline as the sector embraces the new Normal.
