Minister Angie Motshekga launches Sanlam Foundation Education Programme in Sandton, 19 Sept

Minister Motshekga to launch the Sanlam Foundation Education Programme

Minister of Basic Education Mrs Angie Motshekga, MP, will today, Tuesday, 19 September 2023 launch the Sanlam Foundation Education Programme at the Sanlam Offices in Sandton, Johannesburg. 

The Sanlam Foundation Education Programme is aligned with the National Development Plan (NDP, 2030) as well as the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDG’s). 

The programme aims to ensure that in ECD and primary school level, which represents the 3 – 9-year-old age group, the main intervention focus is on numeracy, reading and home language development.

The focus for the secondary school will be on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and Language (English as first additional language - EFAL).

The Minister will be joined at the launch by Head of Sanlam Foundation Ms Nozizwe Vundla including DBE and Sanlam Foundation officials.
