Alan Winde, Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, will today announce one of South Africa’s future entrepreneurial stars at the Schools Entrepreneurship Conference.
Co-funded by the Western Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism, more than 200 pupils from schools in Nyanga, Mitchells Plain, Philippi and Manenberg have attended the five-day event which was held at the South Peninsula High School.
Pupils will pitch their business ideas to a group of leading business experts and the participant with the best idea wins a cash prize to fund their venture. Minister Winde will speak to the pupils about the importance of entrepreneurship and announce the winner of the business pitching session.
