Women in Energy round table discussion
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) in partnership with Women in Oil and Energy South Africa (WOESA), will host the Women in Energy roundtable discussion, on 30 August 2019 at Webber Wentzel Offices, Sandton. The roundtable will offer women owned companies an opportunity to present their real experiences, their success and challenges over the years and suggestions on how they can move forward.
The dialogue will further explore challenges that limit women owned companies participation in the Minerals and Energy sector with the intention to address access to opportunities, finance
and capacity building. Minerals and Energy companies will be given an opportunity to respond to the challenges raised and offer advice on how to mitigate issues raised moving forward.
The Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Ms Bavelile Hlongwa will deliver the key note address at the event.
