Media launch for Naval Hill Planetarium

You are cordially invited to the launch of the dome of the first digital planetarium in sub-Saharan Africa. The planetarium, which will be situated in the old Lamont-Hussey Observatory building on Naval Hill, will be the first component of a proposed Centre for Earth and Space in the Mangaung Metro Municipality.

The project is a partnership between the Mangaung Metro Municipality (MMM), the Free State Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (DETEA), the University of the Free State (UFS) and the national Department of Science and Technology (DST).
