On Thursday 7 March 2013, Western Cape Minister of Finance, Alan Winde will table the Western Cape’s 2013/14 budget. The Budget will highlight the Western Cape Government’s spending priorities for the upcoming financial year.
As highlighted in Premier Helen Zille’s State of the Province address, the largest proportion of the Western Cape’s budget will be directed towards opening opportunities for people in poor communities through a focus on education, health services and infrastructure expenditure.
A lock-up has been arranged at which the media will be able to view the Budget prior to its tabling. This will be followed by a press conference with Minister Winde, the tabling of the Budget in the Western Cape Provincial Legislature and a networking event.
