MEC Zoleka Capa engages with religious community in Nelson Mandela Metro

MEC Capa to engage with the religious community

Rural Development and Agrarian Reform MEC Zoleka Capa cordially invites members of the media to join her during an engagement with the religious community in the Nelson Mandela Metro Municipal area.

This will be the continuation of the engagement made in Amathole District where the MEC embarked on a mission to find ways on how churches and Government can work together towards ending poverty, hunger and underdevelopment.

During this visit the Hon MEC will be accompanied by Deputy Minister of Rural Develoment and Land Reform Hon Pam Tshwete, Local government MEC Mlibo Qoboshiyane and Nelson Mandela Metro Mayor as well representatives from the farmers unions.

As part of food security programme the MEC will hand over garden implements and Jojo Tanks to support projects in their bid to fight poverty.

The MEC will also hand over sewing machines and material in her bid to formalise the textile business across the province.

Members of the media are advised that a media breakfast will be held prior to the event but the venue will be communicated in due course.
