MEC Weziwe Tikana hosts dialogue on campus safety at University of Fort Hare, 6 Apr

The battle of ideas between TVET colleges and the University of Fort Hare on campus safety

MEC Weziwe Tikana for the Department of Safety and Liaison will on the 6 April 2019, host a dialogue and walk with institutions of higher learning (Universities and TVET colleges) at the University of Fort Hare in Alice.

The programme is aimed at restoring the moral fibre of the student community of the University of Fort Hare and TVET colleges in the Eastern Cape Province, through a robust dialogue among students. 

“I want to restore the moral fibre of Universities and TVET Colleges in the Eastern Cape Province so that lecturing and learning can take place relatively -at-ease through a heated dialogue among students,” said MEC Weziwe Tikana.                                       

MEC Weziwe Tikana of the Department of Safety and Liaison, Mayor of Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipality, Cllr Bandile Kethelo, Acting Head of the Department of Safety and Liaison, Mr Zukile Kani, Lieutenant-General Liziwe Ntsinga the Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service, Vice Chancellor of the University of Fort Hare Professor Buhlungu, and a host of other high profile figures will grace the occasion with their esteemed presence.
